About us

An independent group of Catholic families, starting something we wished already existed where we live.

Why we're doing this

We're a handful of homeschooling families in western Kentucky who want our children to learn alongside others in a setting that takes the Catholic faith seriously. The established Catholic homeschool communities in our state are all on the eastern side; the nearest co-op to us is wonderful but general-Christian, not Catholic. So we're building what's missing — carefully, and together.

“Catholic and Catholic-curious families welcome”

We are unapologetically Catholic in heart and in formation. We're also genuinely welcoming. That means:

  • No gate. There's no doctrinal test, no “must be practicing” checkbox, and no interrogation of where you are on your journey.
  • One simple ask. We ask everyone to respect the group's Catholic character — not to affirm every teaching, just to honor the spirit of what we're building.
  • Warmth over pressure. Curious about the faith? Returning to it? Raising your kids in it your whole life? All of you are welcome at the same table.

Who we are

We're still writing this part. Real introductions from our founding families are coming soon — we'd rather leave it blank than make something up.

What we are not

We use the word “co-op” deliberately. We are a supplement to home education, not a school and not a substitute for it. Each family remains its own home school and handles its own state reporting. And importantly:

Independent & not diocesan

Independent & not diocesan: We are an independent group of Catholic families. We are not a ministry, apostolate, program, or endorsed initiative of the Diocese of Owensboro, any parish, or the Roman Catholic Church, and nothing here should be taken as such an endorsement.
